Are you feeling a little standoffish?? Maybe these will help!
Threaded spacers are called standoffs. Standoffs are useful for applications such as separating devices, connecting parts, and locating and guiding components in assemblies.
Nylon: Corrosion resistant, tough, and resilient. Ideal in electrical and electronic assemblies. Withstands temperatures from -40° to +180° F. Rockwell hardness is R100. Tensile strength is 7600 psi.
Aluminum: It's one-third the weight of steel. Mild resistance to corrosion. Rockwell hardness is B60. Tensile strength is 55,000 psi.
Please see the Servos & Stuff: Servo Erector Set: 2-56 Hardware section for 2-56 Standoffs.
